We are admired in the Community – Barimu Brian, Senior Four student, Keihangara Seed Secondary School

Keihangara Seed Secondary School was previously called St Richards Secondary School. It was a remoteschool without proper structures. There was no laboratory equipment. The head teacher had to borrowequipment from other schools for our practical lessons.

In 2018, when I enrolled in Senior One, there was only one block which comprised of three classes. However, when the school was transformed into a government one, now Keihangara Seed SecondarySchool, the structures and facilities were upgraded and equipment was provided. The school has now advanced academically, producing grade ones and is admired by others. Parents andguardians now appreciate the school and have united to support it.

Previously, teachers, especially those of sciences, were scarce because they dreaded coming to the school. However, when the Government started putting up structures, the teachers became more dedicated. We are admired in the Community The school has now advanced academically, producing grade ones andis admired by others.

Parents and guardians now appreciate the school and have united to support it.The only challenge we have is lack of electricity. The head teacher has to buy fuel for the generator incase of practical lessons that require electricity. I thank the Government of Uganda for the upgrade ofKeihangara. I pray that other schools will also be catered for so that fellow students out there can haveaccess to the facilities that we have at Keihangara Seed Secondary School.

We got a chance of enlarging the capacity of the water reservoir to 328 cubic meters which is suplying clean safe water to 3,000+ people
