In Ibanda, we have many health centres II that are supposed to be upgraded to the health centre III status.
The people of Ishongororo subcounty were gifted and privileged to be among the first lot that had a health centre (Kashozi Health Centre II), upgraded to health centre III status. The residents are so happy with the services that have come with the upgrade of the health facility. We are proud of and happy with the Government of Uganda.
When the health facility wasstill under the centre II status, we did not have the antenatal, postnatal and maternityservices. The outpatient and inpatient department is now fully functional, unlike in the past. With the beds that were given to us, the health centre can now admit patients who are severely sick.
Under UGIFT, the number of staff at the health centre has increased. Previously, they were only two health personnel attending to people. They are now 11. We would love to thankthe Government of Uganda, in partnership with the World Bank, for the upgrade of health units forcommunities.
As the people of Ibanda, we are very thankful to the World Bank for the projects such as water, schoolsand the health centres constructed in the district.
